Vernon Chandler, 82, of Austin, Indiana passed away Saturday, November 27, 2021 in Seymour Crossing Nursing Home, Seymour, Indiana Born April 24, 1939 in Oneida, KY, he was the son of the late Taylor Chandler and Lusy (Baker) Chandler. He married Rosemary (Medlock) Chandler,on May 25, 1957 who survives. He was a retired employee of Austin School District #1, Austin, Indiana Survivors include: Son: Steve Chandler of Austin, Indiana; Granddaughter: Erin Matz of Frankfort, Indiana; Great Grandchildren Hudson and Heidi Metz of Frankfort, Indiana. Nephew's Mike Plaster, Tim and Terry Sandlin. He was preceded in death by his sister, Jean Gibson Funeral Service: 11:00 am Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at Buchanan Funeral Home in Austin, Indiana. Visitation will be 4 to 7 pm Monday and after 9 am Tuesday at Buchanan Funeral Home. Burial will be at Wesley Chapel Cemetery Austin, Indiana.
