Robert "R.J." Johnson, 77, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022 in Scott Memorial Hospital Scottsburg, Indiana Born February 19, 1944 in Breathitt Co., KY, he was the son of the late Robert and Otie (Turner) Johnson. He married Mary (Bridge) Johnson on January 31, 2016, who survives. He was the owner of Johnson Contractor's and Precision Lumber in Austin, Indiana. Survivors include: Sons: Timmy Allen (Becky) Johnson of Austin, Indiana; David Wayne (Sherri) Johnson of Scottsburg, Indiana; Robert "Bob" (Melanie) Johnson, Jr. of Georgetown, Kentucky; Daughter, Sharon Louise (Nate) Burrage of Adam's, TN; Brother: George Johnson of Austin, Indiana; Sister: Irene Howard of Austin, Indiana; Louise Rice of Walesboro, Indiana. Step-children: Peggy & Jerry Oaks, Jerry Bridge, Jim & Felicia Bridge He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, and 31 great grandchildren. . He was preceded in death by his mother and father, 1st wife Eva Mae (Miller) Johnson, son: Richard Brian Johnson, brother: Kent Johnson and his sister: Hazel Johnson Blankenship and grandson Crosse Johnson Farley. Funeral Service: 2:00 pm Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Buchanan Funeral Home in Austin, Indiana with Rev. Jonathan Jackson officiating. Visitation will be 12 to 2 pm Thursday at Buchanan Funeral Home, Austin, Indiana. Burial will be at Wesley Chapel Cemetery Austin, Indiana.
